On Friday 30 June, during the annual event “ ESTIVALE “ in Strasbourg, France, Dubbelman Container Transporten was the first barge operator to receive an award for the development of its barge product and services; „Développement Fluvial Award„. The award was presented, in the presence of several hundred invited guests, on behalf of Port Autonome Strasbourg by Mrs. Anne-Marie Jean, president of the Port of Strasbourg.

Dubbelman Container Transporten received the award for its professional and positive contribution to the nautical possibilities and the development of the inland shipping modality. In particular, the flexibility and reliability of its services on the river Rhine to and from Strasbourg and Lauterbourg were praised.

The „Développement Fluvial Award“ is a nice recognition that Dubbelman Container Transporten, together with it’s shipping company Camaro BV and its parent company Sogestran, is on the right (water)way. In addition, it is nice and special that we were the very first barge operator to receive the award. I hereby dedicate the award to our fantastic team, both in the office and our hard-working staff on board of our barges. They are the ones who won this award!
